This Company is bound by the new sections outlined in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988, which lays out a number  principles concerning the protection of your personal information. Sphinx Rock Cafe commits itself to providing you with the highest level of service, security and privacy protection.

The National Privacy Act and you

The act regulates the way that business and organisations collect, use, keep secure and disclose personal information. It also gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them and a right to correct that information if it is wrong.
 

Why we need your information

When you use the Sphinx Rock Cafe guest book, you need to provide certain information for us to establish the authenticity of such submissions. This includes information such as your name and contact details.
 

Your information and how we use it

Information that we gather may be used for purposes, which you would reasonably expect, such as  contacting you. Information gathered from you may also be used as part of a website design and will only be used as intended with the original supply of this information. We do not require your information for any other purpose and if so, your agreement on further use of any information supplied by you will be attained.

Disclosure of Information you provide

Your information is strictly confidential. Sphinx Rock Cafe will not disclose any personal information to any third party. We may disclose information where you would reasonably expect us to do so. There may be some exceptional circumstances for disclosing your information, such as when there are grounds to believe that the disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, or for law enforcement purposes.
 

Requesting Information

You are entitled to access personal information held at Sphinx Rock Cafe, to amend that information if it is incorrect.
